Animal Adaptations Project Additional Information

Students worked for 3 days during Science block (and sometimes longer) to input facts and research into their graphic organizers via Chromebook. They were asked to use their Science book as a primary resource, additional research books were provided, and they had access to online research databases during their research time.  The information they brought home today, represents what your child input into their Chromebook during the given time in class.

The actual project is a complete at home project using the research completed in class.  The project itself is designed to allow your student to creatively display all of their knowledge about animal habitats, animal adaptations, and plant adaptations.  The options we discussed in class were an informational poster and a diorama, but your child may complete a different project type if desired as long as there is a finished product which can be displayed and follows the guidelines.  Please also remember that students are required to have written (or typed) descriptions as indicated on the letter sent home last Thursday.

I have included example project images below.  Please encourage your child to use Habits 2:  Begin with the End in Mind and 3:  Put First Things First during the week so they will have quality work to turn in and present on Friday.
